Just finished reading Bjørn's route and i feel like i'm not the same person i was anymore. 10/10 Love that bear

(1 edit)

I've really liked playing through the demo and i definitely think this project has potential! I have a few pieces of feedback to share though, and one of those is that while it's a novel concept, attacking using your mouse can definitely be rough while dodging if you're using a laptop and have no mouse availabe, so i think adding an option to let the player map their controls to their liking could go a long way in making the combat feel smoother and more accessible. Maybe allowing the player to map the attack to one of the keyboard keys and have Kivuli only attack what's directly in front of him could be an easy solution.

Also maybe adding an option to skip through the dialogue faster could make retries a lot less grueling for the players, so i think that could be worth considering for future builds as well.

Other than that though, i absolutely love what's in the demo. The sprite work is beautiful, and i've loved the addition of animated aspects in the nsfw scenes to make them feel more dynamic. I hope Grove takes notes from this aspect of the nsfw scenes, but it'd be understandable if it didn't. Great quality all around.

EDIT: Additonally, while i don't want to give too harsh a judgement on the other mechanics as this is a demo, i definitely don't think the storage system is the best it could be. Not being able to bring a certain amount of items to your expeditions is okay, but the chest being so cramped this early on feels unnecessarily restrictive, as item amount counts towards chest space. I get that this game is about resource management, but the way it is now, it's too inconvenient for it to be enjoyable in my opinion. I think it would be a major improvement if each item were to occupy it's own space in the chests and stacked items didn't add to that specific item's space, as this just feels like an unnecessary restriction, and maybe adding a craftable chest would make this system more fun, but as of right now, there's too many inconveniences to this system for it to reach it's full potential in my opinion.

Glitch report but i'm having trouble completing the Wisest of the pack quest because every time i try to interact with one of the pillars or the werewolf npc there's an "an exception has occurred" error screen. I also can't seem to find all the items you're meant to give to the pillars.

Just finished the whole update and i really loved all the new content and especially all the new nsfw scenes that were introduced!

Minor spoilers but i really loved the introduction of that new re balancing mechanic that lets you adjust Grove's lv. Even though i didn't make use of it and i was slightly overleveled before properly initiating the new story quests, it still felt like a very consistent challenge, and this mechanic could make going through this chapter again a lot more interesting.

Not to mention hunting for all the scenes was especially satisfying this update. Really gotta give props to the artist that worked on these, really hot stuff from start to finish~~

If this is more or less the same quality of content we'll get every update, i'm pretty content with waiting for another long period of time. Thanks for another great update!

Game's great so far, but every once in a while i experience a bug where the screen just completely freezes in place and i'm unable to move Grove, despite the sound effects still playing in the background.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

Ok so spoiler-ish review but

This build didn't have a lot going on in terms of progress but the scene where that nameless tiger character started calling the MC entitled and selfish for simply wanting to not be lied to and strung along by Ranok was absolutely unhinged. In what world do you have to "earn the right" to not be lied to by your partner? And this idea that just because Ranok was nice to the MC for a while that he has any right to do what he did and that lying is a way to save others from pain while brutal honesty can only do harm is just absurd (the latter idea is even contradicted like 10 minutes later when Ranok returns). And to cap it all off by making Caelan question himself on what he did to deserve being treated like that (he did not deserve it) and then call him "domineering" was just gross. I really liked the direction that the past build seemed to be getting at with Ranok showing a more complex side of himself in regards to his morality, but this felt like the universe was basically reversing all of that just so the reader could keep a positive mindset towards him while not acknowledging any of his faults. I really hope this scene gets unpacked (or better yet, removed entirely since the themes were flirting with some dangerous rhetoric back there), but right now, i'm really not liking the direction the plot is taking.

Not sure if this has been reported already or if this is just me, but the area that's in front of Grove is pretty much impossible to navigate because the game goes through some serious slowndown for some reason. I've also experienced slowdown on the dunes area, but i'm not sure if it's just me that's going experiencing this.
